Rashad Blossom, based in Mooresville, NC, has always been passionate about business and entrepreneurship. 

“I’ve long had a fascination with the stock market and investing,” says Rashad. Which, considering his current role as Owner & Manager of Blossom Law PLLC, where he represents consumers in bankruptcy cases and litigation, makes a lot of sense.

“But along with that, I’ve always been interested in running my own business. In fact, I started cutting hair at the age of 14 and started my first business — a barbershop — at the age of 19.”

The entrepreneurial-spirit for Rashad finds its roots when he was just a kid. And if you told that young man what his future would be like, he probably wouldn’t have believed you. Fast forward a few decades, and Rashad is a business owner fresh off the heels of a results-driven, successful career. Now, with years of experience and client-relationships behind him, Rashad isn’t close to slowing down, and he’s excited to share what he’s learned along the way with budding and aspiring young professionals and entrepreneurs.

Career

Prior to starting his own firm, Rashad Blossom served as Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Distressed Invsting Partner where he provided legal advisory services and defended mortgages and mortgage services. During his time there, Rashad successfully negotiated the sale of debtor’s assets in representing a regional bank holding more than $20 million in claims against a Chapter 7 debtor.

“As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, I believe that the number of bankruptcies will rival or exceed the number filed in the wake of the Great Recession,” says Rashad. This is an issue that Rashad is particularly passionate about, and what has brought him to share his knowledge about bankruptcy law with the Internet. Rashad’s ultimate goal is to guide aspiring financial professionals and spread awareness in order to hopefully give people some peace of mind when it comes to their financial troubles.

Rashad even had one of his clients prevail at the U.S. Supreme Court back in May 2019. “That’s an achievement I may not ever have again for the duration of my career.”

While Rashad used to be a partner at a larger law firm and felt he was good at his job, he ultimately dreamed of being able to help the little guy, people like his friends and family, who might not be able to afford more expensive lawyers but still require quality legal services. This is what brought him to forming Blossom Law PLLC, which is dedicated to assisting people who are filing for bankruptcy, helping small businesses with financial problems, and even personal injury cases among other legal services.

Rashad Blossom is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law with his Juris Doctor. Prior to that, he received his BS in Finance from the University of Alabama, graduating as a member of the National Business Honor Society and Golden Key International Honor Society. He also received the Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Undergraduate in Finance Award.
